(But...a curiosity...along the lines of free, something I've been wondering about...can't the LLMs do indexes, a least a first crack for verification, extension? )
Poorly. It takes some finesse to get LLMs to index well, and I didn’t have time to perfect the process. I went with a brute force process. I did get Claude to pull out and index the author names in the reference section which did save me a lot of work.
